funny enough I actually found this one on Facebook, hahaha, if this isnt ironic. I wanted to thank you for doing this, I really like it, and its true in some ways. BUT I think the tool is not to blame, its how people use it. Cheers and happy holidays from Berlin Beate
You are 100% right about what you say, and the way you say it. But you can't resist this revolution in communication.
Facebook is not just a social networking site, it is -in any manner- the new way of communication. No matter it's on-line or off-line, you have to accept presence of the ones you do not really like, and you have to smile to that lusty bastard who you just want to cut into little pieces. You have to be in contact with that ugly perverts who thinks about fuckin' your girl and just smiling at your face saying "bro" all the time.
You can't resist revolution, just like resistance is useless for cell-phones, computers, mass communication, mass production, mass consumption. But you can take the advantage of everything as well.
Bro, you have to ignore that people off-line, every logic has its own ignorance ability. I can't say that I have a strong one, but I'm still working on it. Ignoring them on-line is much more simple than ignoring them off-line. And believe me or not, ignoring that people's presence on-line improves your off-line ignorance ability.
hey there, i really like everything about this but i must say that i am kind of what was described in the video in the sense that i do have 1098028 friends and i do use those abreviations but only because i find it funny or what not it's hard to explain anyways i did see this on facebook ironically either way this video is pretty great and the guy in it is quite goodlooking ahahah~
Hello there, greetings from Bulgaria. I like the video. Keep on doing what you do, beacause it's something very inspiring. I'd like to ask you what is the name of the song used in the "get off facebook" video. Thanks All the BEST
I totally agree with everything that was mentioned in the video. It's tough being on facebook and it's getting on my nerves as of recently with all these new rules and just people everywhere! You could've emphasized a bit on the poking cuz sometimes i wish i could insert my hand in there and snatch off that poke icon lol. but really, I think this is great work and I have been on and off facebook for quite some time (i usually give in to the temptation). Was the video shot in Itaweon by any chance? Would so love to visit Seoul soon.
I'm looking forward to your next videos.. this one is one of my new favs and NO i didn't watch this on facebook, haha, i found it on 9gag.
I really, thoroughly enjoy this skit. I, too, found it on Facebook. I had gotten rid of my Facebook completely for a few months - I got it back because I realized no one even missed me, texted me, dramatically attempted to get ahold of me... even my best friend in the entire world (who still lives where we grew up back in Cali, I moved to Ohio) didn't even shoot me a text to find out where I went - no, she waited til I got my Facebook back and commented asking what had happened. R U KIDDING ME?! But basically I really loved this video. I was wondering if Ross had an email - I am really interested in knowing about his being an English teacher in Korea and what not.
Hi there! I found your video by chance on makeuseof.com. I'm not sure how I ended up on that site either! ;-)
I really enjoyed your message and it's something I already know, but am still guilty of. I actually go through stages where I'll boycott facebook for a few months and then get back on it when I want to catch up with friends and see what's going on with everyone, without actually having to communicate with each and every person. It's so sad how we're all so busy and have lost "real" communication over the years in our personal lives and in business as well. Like everything else in life, I try to use it in moderation and not get totally sucked into it.
You are creating good quality work that will leave a lasting impression! I also checked out your music video, "set yourself free", and LOVED it!
By the way, I was born in Seoul and would love to get back there as an adult and learn more about my culture.
I found the video on 9gag and was already not really using facebook. I kept dodging people who I accepted as friends out of politeness (why the hell would co-workers you've never spoken to add you as friend? Didn't want to say no...), I had already disabled the chat for almost a year now, and really didn't feel like "sharing" anything personal at all. I speak with my "real" friends all the time and NOT through facebook. And no, they're not hundreds, that's just on facebook, which is really pathetic!! That site is a place filled with vain people taking pictures of themselves constantly - why would anyone feel the need to show how great and happy they are? It is somewhat depressing.
This video was the push I needed. I deactivated my account, and the funny thing is, it gave me a new sense of freedom and of privacy! I feel a whole lot better(I know it sounds crazy but it's true!). A big thank you to everyone involved in making this video. Spread the word!!!!
Thanks for making this video. I was recently debating the influence of Facebook on society and considering deleting my account. I'd make excuses as to why I thought it was important to have access to, so long as I limited my usage - doesn't work "btw" haha. Anyway, great job Ross, I'll be saving my photos to my computer and deleting my account. PS. I hope Dane Cook does an act on why people can't delete their Facebook accounts. Cheers!
hey there (: thanks for this masterpiece ROSS, i totally agreeeee with you! (: and never forget YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL TOO, so smile and you will have a better day, a sunny day! the prob is people who gets on facebook forget about their normal life they began to see their social life as real life, the cannot live without it anymore and so a lot of people lose a big part of their life, they don't go out and look at the nature and see how beautiful the world is, but sometime everybody will change their will be a revolution in which way we don't know but everything is changing from second to second ;)
Hello , you touched me . And you know what is interesting ,because i liked your video i had the feeling of being you friend during the video. Suddenly i felt i want to change more information with you. Not to compare our lifes ,but share , because you said what many feel and dont know how to deal.
I've never had a facebook page. don't think I'll join either. I find it creepy that people can see your world so readily. Can't be too lofty cuz i'm on linkedin. And i text a lot but that's one-to-one. And i've just started to tweet.

I found him inexplicably attractive.
I wholeheartedly agree with the sentiment, however, I don't think I'd be able to follow through with it.

Just give it a second try.

Really, really great.
I also found the model/actor/writer/guy very attractive.
The sentiment was beautiful and the whole thing was actually moving. Maybe it was the music. Maybe it was the finger licking!
